Starts either on Parking lot at the Einbeck indoor and outdoor swimming pool, Parking lot Stadtwald/Hube or on Parking at the ponds and set out on your journey, all VitalWege in one big day tour to experience.
The challenging route takes you through shady forest passages, open field paths and tough climbs, which are rewarded with unforgettable panoramas. Along the way you will discover numerous highlights: the Old linden tree near the Riesswarte, the idyllic path along the Crooked Water, spectacular views of the Kuventhal valley bridge and the large Hube parking lot with insect hotel and information board.
We continue along the Fairytale forest, past the Charcoal Burner's Hut, Black Hut, up to the Sonnenberg near Negenborn, by the Altendorfer Berg Nature Reserve and breathtaking Views over EinbeckThe route also takes you through a picturesque avenue, past the Domeier memorial stone with shelter, about the green Borntal meadows, where you can observe local wildlife, and finally down through the Kirschenberg nature reserve back to the center of Einbeck.

The VitalWeg 22 combines sections of all VitalWege routes and can therefore be started from all three starting points.
By train:
Einbeck can be reached from Göttingen or Hanover via the train station Einbeck-SalzderheldenFrom there the train continues to the city center station Einbeck-MitteFrom Einbeck-Mitte, you can reach the three possible starting points of VitalWeg 22 on foot or by bus/taxi:
Starting point: Parking lot of the indoor and outdoor swimming pool:
It's about a 20-minute walk from Einbeck-Mitte train station. Walk along Ball-Ricco-Straße, past Stukenbrokpark, then Teichenweg, then straight onto Hubeweg, left onto Rabbethgestraße, right onto Schützenstraße, and finally left onto Ochsenhofweg. The swimming pool is on the left, and the parking lot is directly in front.Starting point: Parking lot Stadtwald / Hube:
From Einbeck-Mitte train station, the parking lot is a much longer walk (approximately 30–40 minutes, uphill). Walk through the Ostertor gate, cross the railway crossing, and follow Hubeweg uphill. After about 2 km, you'll reach the signposted Stadtwald/Hube hiking parking lot at the edge of the forest. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the train station.
Starting point: Parking lot “An den Teichen”:
This parking lot is located at the foot of the Hube River, directly next to the ponds. It can be reached from Einbeck-Mitte train station in about 20–25 minutes on foot. The path leads along Ball-Ricco-Straße past Stukenbrokpark, then up Teichenweg to the signposted lower parking lot "An den Teichen."
By Car:
For visitors arriving by car, all three starting points are available – depending on the desired entry point into the tour:

Access via the Ostertor and Hubeweg, uphill toward the forest. The hikers' parking lot is signposted and is located above the town at the edge of the forest.Parking lot at the ponds
Also accessible via the Ostertor and Hubeweg, signposted "An den Teichen." The parking lot is located directly next to the small ponds and is free to use.
