Start: Market square at Till Eulenspiegel Fountain

Photo spot 1: Tiedexer Street
The longest continuous row of half-timbered houses in the city! It's not for nothing that Einbeck is called a half-timbered town. And as if that weren't enough, there's much more to see here: On Tiedexer Straße, you'll be enchanted by the pretty, colorful decorative carvings, inscriptions, and high archways of the half-timbered houses. You'll discover something special on every house. Look at the guild signs and the colorful ornaments. Also, see if any archways strike you as particularly odd, and while you're at it, discover a colorful street art spot. Let's just say this: It fits perfectly with Einbeck as a city of vintage cars.

Photo spot 2: Baker Wall
Get to know nature along the former Einbeck city wall! Bäckerwall, with its two ponds, a miniature golf course, a playground, and a grassy area, is part of our city wall and park system and offers a wonderful green space in nature, not far from Einbeck's city center. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
Incidentally, the Einbeck Beer TrailYou can walk this route on another visit to Einbeck to learn more about Einbeck as a beer town.

Break at or in the Tango Bridge
The TangoBrücke is a concert and cultural center. Various events take place there. As part of our Instawalk, we stopped there and offered participants a blue drink. The color scheme was thus in keeping with the blueprint year of 2022. Unfortunately, you can only see the building from the outside on a private tour. The half-timbered house with its beautiful decorative carvings makes for a lovely photo opportunity.

Photo spot 3: Einbecker Blexpression
Blue printing and Einbeck – they have been a perfect match for many centuries!
In 1638, Hans Wittram founded Einbeck Blueprint as a dyeing factory in Einbeck, in the midst of the Thirty Years' War. Since then, printing has continued in Einbeck to this day using the traditional reserve printing process with models—the wooden printing stamps. A behind-the-scenes tour gave our participants a glimpse not only into the Einbeck Blueprint shop, but also into the workshop where this rare craft is still practiced with great enthusiasm today. Incidentally, the technique of blueprinting is part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Why not book a blueprint tour to get an insight into the location?

Photo spot 5: Wolpeterhaus
The half-timbered house "Wolpeterhaus" was built about 450 years ago, and several historical events have shaped and accompanied the building over the years. At that time, the Wittram family operated a blueprint there. Today, the house is no longer inhabited, but is being lovingly restored and preserved by heritage conservationists.
Participants of the 2022 Instawalk were given an exclusive glimpse into the premises. This is only possible after consultation with the monument's sponsors or a special guided tour.

Photo spot 6: Market Church with tower climb
The Gothic St. Jacobi Market Church stands on the market square in the city center. It has been a listed monument since 1988 and is known for its 65-meter-high church tower. It stands 1,5 meters off-vertical and is often called the "Leaning Tower of Einbeck."
Climbing the church tower offers a breathtaking view over Einbeck. The view is absolutely wonderful!
