Einbeck

The cycle tour starts in Einbeck on the street Zur Rießwarte. From there you cycle towards Andershausen. Once you have passed Andershausen, turn right into the Einbeck city forest.


TIP: The Fairytale Forest is an old deciduous forest on the way to becoming a primeval forest. Its name "Fairytale Forest" It was named after its fairytale-like trees. The Fairytale Forest is part of Einbeck's city forest.
 
 
The section through the forest is approximately 7 km long. You ride through Einbeck's green oasis towards Greene.


TIPP: Still standing today at Greener Castle is the 181-meter-high, accessible castle tower (25 meters above sea level) located in a well-kept park with some remains of parts of the former castle outer wall and the arched gateway to the upper castle. From the accessible keep, one has a sweeping view of the Leine Valley.

Continue along Burgstraße in Greene toward Garlebsen. In Garlebsen, cross the small Leine bridge toward Olxheim. In Olxheim, cross the small railway crossing and continue along meadows and fields. The next town is Sievershausen.

TIPP: In Sievershausen there is the restaurant “Eichenkrug” with Greek dishes.


Now you continue to Salt heroes, inFrom Salzderhelden, follow Heldenbergerstraße until you reach Einbeck again.

TIP: The Salzderhelden Saltworks ceased salt production in the 1960s. Take a look around or relax in the cozy museum atmosphere with a cup of coffee and homemade cake. Visits are available for groups and individuals.

You can reach the start from Einbeck Mitte train station in about 20 minutes (1,6 km walk), by car from Einbeck Center To get to the nearest parking lot you would then have to drive 3 minutes (Parking at the indoor swimming pool 1,3 km) and then you reach the start from there.
