After the big one City fire of 1540, in which the entire city burned down, originated in this street from 1541 the very first new buildings on this important long-distance trade route and Torstraße towards the market square. The years of construction 1541 – 1550 can be partly seen in the carvings on the facades of the houses.

- three-story in Mixed construction made of post and beam construction,
- a higher ground floor, a mezzanine and a projecting upper floor (also called upper floor),
- Compartments plastered with wickerwork and clay,
- Decorative carvings and ornaments (bar frieze, braided band and fan rosettes) on sill beams and corbels of the upper floor,
- high, round-arched gate entrances with decorative carvings as well as inscriptions, house marks and guild signs.
