You might not expect it, but it's true: Our tranquil town of Einbeck has long been in the spotlight of the international street art scene. Since 2014, many renowned street artists from all over the world have visited Einbeck as part of the Street Art Mile, making our half-timbered town even more interesting and beautiful with their colorful works of art. We now have around 70 ArtSpots, some of them gigantic, on house walls or on parts of buildings!
It all began under the motto “Our city should become more colorful.” The children’s and youth art initiative “YoungArt in Einbeck", the event "SAM – Street Art Mile in Einbeck" was launched. Many local and regional companies, foundations, politicians, and a large number of volunteers have made it possible every year.
The region's largest open-air gallery is open anytime and is worth a visit all year round!

Arrival & Parking
A perfect starting point for visiting the open-air gallery is the market square in the city center. From here, many spots can be reached.
Arrival by public transport:
The historic market square can be reached from Einbeck-Mitte train station in about 8 minutes (an 800-meter walk). From the train station, walk through the traffic lights toward the central bus station (ZOB), then via Dr.-Friedrich-Uhde-Straße, Möncheplatz, and Lange Brücke directly into the pedestrian zone and onto the market square.
Travelers arriving by car can park in parking lots near the city and from there reach the market square in about 3-6 minutes on foot.
