Playground Am Bäckerwall

Short facts

  • Einbeck

Newly created playground (2020) with medieval theme close to the city centre next to the Town Wall.

The playground Am Bäckerwall offers swings, slides, a sandpit, a medieval-style climbing scaffold, a cableway and various seating facilities. For younger and older football players there is a football field with goals.

At the rampart section Bäckerwall (bakers’ rampart) on the opposite side of the playground and the mini-golf course that is close by, there are two ponds - leftovers of the outer town moats of the city fortifications. One of the ponds has a fountain and around the pond there are benches to have a relaxing break when taking a walk or after playing on the playground. Little ducklings may be watched on the ponds and maybe you will even see one or more fish in the pond. In autumn, children may collect chestnuts at the bakers’ rampart.
