The newly opened in summer 2023 Climbing playground in the monastery garden offers the opportunity to Play and romp.


The Low rope balancing and climbing course is located on the main path of the Stiftgarten, about a five-minute walk from Einbeck's market square.

Arrival & Parking

The playground is located in the Stiftsgarten (college garden) between the Ostertor and Stiftstraße. Access is possible from several directions, including directly from the Mendelsohn Music School in Einbeck or from the intersection of Stiftstraße and Langer Wall.

On foot:
The playground in the Abbey Garden can be reached on foot in about 400 meters from the market square.

By train:
From Einbeck Mitte train station, walk along Ball-Ricco-Straße, cross the large traffic light intersection over which the railway tracks run. Once you've crossed the intersection, take the small path to the left of the railway tracks. You'll see the Catholic Church of St. Joseph on the left and the "Junge Linde" villa on the right, on the other side of the railway tracks.

By Car:
You can park for free in the parking lot at the New Town Hall or pay at the Ostertor. From there, it's a two- to four-minute walk to the playground. Additional public parking spaces are available in the surrounding area.

The play options in detail are: nest swing, sand play equipment (ship), spring seesaw, sand area, slide tower, double swing, streetball court with basketball stand and two youth benches for seating.
