After a Fire of 1826 The church was rebuilt between 1840 and 1846.1963 it was demolished due to structural deterioration demolished again. Some Parts of the church wurden into the newly built St. Mary's Church on Sülbecksweg transferred.

Leaving the B3 eastbound (signposted for Odagsen) and turning left onto Reinserturmweg, continue straight toward the city center on Benser Straße until you reach the large traffic light intersection. Neustädter Kirchplatz and its parking spaces are located on the left.
