The Kaiser Friedrich Tower is a over 120-year-old observation tower, which is slightly hidden in the Einbeck city forest on the Altendorfer Berg. Its namesake is Emperor Frederick, who reigned for only a few months in the Three Emperors Year of 1888. Frederick's birthday, 18 October 1900, was celebrated for the inauguration of the tower.
The Construction of the tower was initiated by the then mayor Grimsehl and the beautification association. They wanted to Observation tower with the best panoramic view over Einbeck and the surrounding area create and started in 1898 the construction work. Thanks to many private donor and helpful company The project was successful and the tower was completed.

The Kaiser Friedrich Tower is located on the Altendorfer Berg in Einbeck.
From the New Town Hall in Einbeck, located on Teichenweg, it's an 11-minute drive to the parking lot, from where you can walk to the Kaiser Friedrich Tower. To get there, take Negenborner Weg, which begins behind the town hall toward Rewe, uphill toward the east of the town. Continue along this path, ignoring the side streets that intersect. After passing the residential area, you'll reach the temporary end of the road at the edge of the forest.
It is best to leave the car here and walk the rest of the way through the city forest to the tower.
Visitors also have the opportunity to walk from the forest parking lot by the ponds to the tower.
