Memorial stone of the former New Synagogue

Archaeological site
Monument
The Memorial commemorates the destruction (November 09, 1938) of the former New Synagogue.

The Memorial inaugurated in 1969 is located below the Mühlenwall in Bismarckstraße and is opposite the former New Synagogue, which, however, no longer stands today, as it was destroyed during the Reichspogromnacht in 1938.

The bronze plaque depicts a menorah. A bronze plate embedded in the ground bears the inscription: "Are we not all children of one Father? Did not one God create us?"
