The former Hanseatic city and half-timbered town Einbeck is one of the five cities of the so-called Half-timbered pentagon in southern Lower Saxony in the Weserbergland, is located on the German Timber-Frame Road and is with its over 400 half-timbered buildings one of the best preserved medieval towns in Germany. A true half-timbered jewel. The facades of the half-timbered houses in the historic old town still reflect the more than 700-year-old Brewing tradition the city.
The stream Crooked water, a northern tributary of the Ilme, flows through the town and was involved in the naming of Einbeck. The Middle Low German version of the word Bach is Beeke, of which one Einbeck derived.

Directly opposite is the Bread House, which is the only preserved guild house in Einbeck. In the city center there are numerous other points of interest & sights such as the Rats-Apotheke, the Tiedexer Straße, the ramparts including the historic city wall or the Till Eulenspiegel fountain.
If you want to explore the city centre a little spending time outdoors If you're looking for a place to relax, the Wallanlagen Park, Stukenbrok Park, and Stiftsgarten are the perfect place. Although these places are no longer in the pedestrian zone, they are located directly around the old town.
