The Diekturm is part oframparts and served to protect the city of Einbeck in the Middle Ages.
The well-preserved Diekturm from late 15th century became Reinforcement of the Einbeck fortifications Built in the Middle Ages and located in the south of the town of Einbeck, this massive round tower received the their name from Heinrich Diek, a patrician's son from Einbeck. Diek allegedly caused the great city fire in Einbeck in 1540 and was executed for it.

In earlier times, the tower had a pointed conical roofThis roof has disappeared over the years. In the second half of the 18th century was built in front of the tower bathhouse built.

Arrival by public transport:
From Einbeck-Mitte train station you can reach the Diekturm in about 14 minutes (1,1 km).

On foot:
The Diekturm is located just a few minutes away from Einbeck's pedestrian zone and can be reached from the market square in less than 10 minutes (700 m).

By car:
Einbeck is easily accessible by car via the B3 highway. Parking is available in the surrounding streets and in nearby parking lots in the city center (e.g., Neustädter Kirchplatz and the Brauhaus parking garage).
