Vintage cars - timber-framed houses - bock beer

Ainpöckisch beer, timber-framed art and vintage cars

How about you, if you hear the name “Einbeck”: Do you think of beer immediately? Great, we are happy to hear that! Our “Ainpökisch beer” is well-known far beyond our city‘s, region’s and even our country’s borders. Strong and tasty, our bock beer has a long and good tradition – it had already been brewed in our town more than 700 years ago. Therefore: Fantastic that this is what comes into your mind. We, the people from Einbeck, also love our beer!

Richly decorated timber-framed houses, as far as the eye can see: Our lovely Einbeck, situated in an idyllic setting at the edge of the mountain ranges Weserbergland, Harz and Solling, also has a lot more to offer! In our historic Old Town you will find richly decorated timber-framed houses – as far as your eye can see. Our street Tiedexer Straße even is one of the longest rows of timber-framed buildings in norther Germany.

PS.SPEICHER: At a couple of metres distance from this beautiful building ensemble our next great attraction comes into view. It is a historic, listed old granary that stretches high into the sky. However, not a single grain of cereal has been stored there for a long time – now it houses more than 400 vintage cars on its premises! The granary was restored according to monument preservation, with modern additions and, since 2014, it houses the PS.SPEICHER – a diverse, interactive experience exhibition. Four collections with more than 2,000 further exhibits and a visitor centre were finally opened in 2020. Ever since, our small Einbeck displays – you will find it hard to believe – Europe’s largest collection of vintage cars!

Got a taste for it? Then come and visit us! We invite you to discover our beautiful town. First, virtually on this site and afterwards you are very welcome to Einbeck.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
